A complete diet dog food which supports kidney functions. It is characterized by a low phosphorus and
sodium content, as well as a limited content of high quality protein.
High quality protein -food based on sources of complete protein of low fat content. Addition of chicken egg increases the coefficient
of limiting amino acid to the level guaranteeing maintenance of appropriate proportion in absorption of all amino acids. The amount
of protein covers the minimum amount of amino acids required by an organism, however, it does not cause excess catabolization and
creation of products which could disrupt kidney function.
Fatty acids - presence of fatty acids from both animal products (poultry fat and salmon fat) and flaxseed oil ensures maximum
engagement of polyunsaturated fatty acids from n-3 and n-6 groups in biochemical control of creation of proinflammatory cytokines.
Moreover, by specific stopping the activity of cyclooxygenase (COX-2) they demonstrate analgesic and relaxing properties for
muscularis of blood vessels in a kidney.
Lowered phosphorus content - in the Kidney Support veterinary diet composition has been adjusted in such a way that the diet
included a lowered phosphorus content thus stopping degenerative processes in a kidney.
L – carnitine - ensures targeted and facilitated transport of medium-chain fatty acids to mitochondria where they are subject
to metabolism. The lipolytic effect obtained in this manner influences reduction of body weight and stops the use of protein for
energetic purposes, thus products of protein catabolism are directed to kidneys to a smaller degree.
Presence of mannan – oligosaccharides, yeasts, yucca schidigera extract - stimulates digestive functions and absorption of
nutrients from gastrointestinal tract and stimulates its peristalsis.
