high quality of protein,
low level of magnesium
URINARY SUPPORT VETERINARY DIET is recommended for dogs with kidney failure
resulting from the presence of struvite stones in an urinary tract, and for dogs after the disease
resolves, in order to prevent creation of new clusters of struvite stones.

Consultation with a veterinarian is recommended prior to use.
A complete diet dog food which dissolves struvite stones and prevents their reoccurrence. It has a limited
level of high quality protein, ability to acidify urine and a lowered magnesium content.
High quality protein -food based on sources of complete protein of low fat content. Addition of chicken egg increases the
coefficient of limiting amino acid to the level guaranteeing maintenance of appropriate proportion in absorption of all amino acids.
The amount of protein covers the minimum amount of amino acids required by an organism, however, it does not cause excess
catabolization or creation of products which could disrupt kidney function.
Fatty acids -both from animal products (poultry fat and salmon fat) and flaxseed oil ensure maximum engagement of
polyunsaturated fatty acids from n-3 and n-6 groups in biochemical control of creation of proinflammatory cytokines. Moreover, by
specific stopping the activity of cyclooxygenase (COX-2) they demonstrate analgesic properties.
Low sodium and potassium content - in the Urinary Support veterinary diet composition has been adjusted in such a way that
the diet is low-sodium and low-potassium. As a result, the osmotic pressure exerted by electrolytes decreases. Moreover, due to
the presence of phosphoric acid with a lower pH of urine, glomerular filtration increases, which accelerates dissolution of struvite
Mannan – oligosaccharides, yeasts, yucca schidigera extract - presence of these components stimulates digestive functions,
absorption of nutrients from gastrointestinal tract and stimulates its peristalsis
